Prints Available for Purchase

Friends and family have suggested I take my photography skills and go pro. Not going to lie, I have contemplated the idea over the past few years - it would be nice to earn money to feed my photography habit. The expense adds up…photo editing purchases and subscriptions, hardware add-ons like L-brackets and high speed triggers, camera bags, self-paced training, professional memberships (of which I have yet to acquire), then occasionally replacing camera bodies and lenses. Like I said, it adds up. Quick.

But what kind of photography? As an introvert, if I had to take people portraits, I could see myself doing ok with headshots, even large-event photography - just walking around and taking candid photos. (Before someone suggests wedding photography…No. I’ve read enough from other photographers to know that I am not that patient.)

However, I’d rather be taking photos of flowers. The pluses of this genre - they take little posing experience of which I have not enough, I can be in nature if the mood strikes, I can be in the studio depending on the season, and to be honest, this genre is just calming and beautiful. Never mind I’m fairly versed in flower photography - given that’s where I've focused my photo hobby for a while now.

The easiest way to go professional with flower photography seems to be delving into fine art photography and selling prints. So, I’ve researched how to easily sell prints, without a huge financial outlay on my end, because who knows when I’ll earn a profit.

I won’t bore you with all the research on the different avenues I considered, but will jump to the end and share that I settled on using Fine Art America as a place to sell prints. (If someone wanted to use one of my photos on a bedspread or smartphone case, that is apparently an option with the service.)

Interested in browsing the photographs I’ve made available for print purchase? You can visit my GalleryI’ve also added a page to my website that will take you to the same place. (I’m trying make it as easy as possible for people to access the Gallery.)

If you are interested in a print of a photograph I’ve posted to social media that isn’t currently listed in the gallery, I’d be happy to add the photograph to my gallery for purchase. Drop me an email (annevelosa @ gmail.com)  or message me via the social media platform you use and let me know.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a smooth launch.

Until next time…wishing you some moments of beauty to enjoy.
